Hi!  Here is  Heli's message about  ENO ENGLISH TEACHER group . This is an excellent forum as our language is English mainly in ENO.

"This is a group for all teachers in the ENO virtual school who teach or are interested in the English language.

 As a global language, English connects the world and is therefore a good means of discussing ENO topics that cross national boundaries: environmental education, peace education, sustainable development and global citizenship. English teachers can introduce these topics in their language classrooms and utilize the ENO network for active global interaction. Besides global, English has also become local: it is spoken in somewhat different ways in different countries, reflecting local culture and languages.

The group is intended as a meeting point for ENO teachers from various countries, as a means of posting interesting ideas, news and links regarding the English language. The topics can include for example the following:

*English as an international or intercultural language
*English language variation and World Englishes
*Teaching English as a second or foreign language (ELT)
*Global/environmental education and language teaching
*Cultural education
*English and other languages
*Local perspectives/news/attitudes/concerns"
